The photovoltaic system at the Krummnußbaum plant generates up to 650 MWh per year, which means that around 10 % of the total annual electricity requirements can be covered by solar energy. And that means a reduction in CO2 emissions of around 350 tons per year. Around 99% of the annual electricity production from this system has so far been consumed directly by the company. Smart controls measure output, consumption, self-consumption, feed-in and total consumption in real time. Any surplus energy is fed back into the grid.
The topic of e-mobility is also important to us and as part of this project, the plant was equipped with two EV charging stations plus a charging station for e-bikes.
