Acrath are class 1 acid-resistant brisks (Acrath S1-t) or 3 (Acrath S3-t).
The bricks are resistant to many types of chemical attacks, especially acidic furnace exhaust gases and sulfur compounds, even at or below dew point. They are therefore used for acid-resistant walls.
The high abrasion resistance and chlorine resistance mean they can be used in fluidized bed systems and preheaters for the cement industry, if raw materials or fuels have corresponding loads.
