Strategic Partnership: RATH Further Expands Its HTIW Product Portfolio for Europe in Cooperation with AFIBRE

Energy-efficient refractory linings increasingly require higher capacities of high-temperature insulation wool (HTIW) products. To meet this growing demand, we have entered into a long-term strategic partnership with the Chinese alumina fiber manufacturer AFIBRE.

Vienna, August 13, 2026

Headquartered in Dongying, Shandong Province, China, AFIBRE specializes in the production of high-quality alumina fibers and related fiber products. Through extensive negotiations, both companies have agreed on binding quality standards and production quantities. The new product portfolio complements our existing product line and further strengthens our capabilities in high-temperature applications.

Thanks to our technical expertise, our understanding of customers’ needs, and well-established distribution network, the cooperation with AFIBRE enables us to further advance our energy-efficient lining concepts while reinforcing our market position across Europe.

For our customers, this partnership means access to additional solutions for high-temperature applications and an even broader range of products from a single source. At the same time, the collaboration creates new opportunities for the development of innovative applications and entry into new market segments.
